Why we built WaPay
Small businesses, freelancers and tradespeople are brilliant at what they do. Plumbing, electrical work, design, beauty treatments, consulting — they show up, they deliver, they solve problems.
But then comes the part nobody trained them for: raising invoices, chasing payments, managing accounts receivable and keeping on top of who owes what. Most end up doing it on Sunday evenings with a spreadsheet, a calculator and a growing sense of dread.
We built WaPay to make that entire problem disappear. One WhatsApp message is all it takes — we handle the invoice, the payment link, the reminders and the reconciliation. The business gets paid. The customer gets a seamless experience. Nobody has to chase anyone.

WaPay only charges when you get paid. A small platform fee is deducted from each successful payment — never before. No payment, no fee. We only earn when you do.

Who we are
We're a team of builders with over 50 years of combined experience across technology, finance and small business. We've spent our careers designing and shipping software products — and we've seen first-hand how much time small businesses lose to invoicing, payment follow-ups and admin that nobody enjoys.
That's why we built WaPay. Not because the world needed another fintech app, but because we believed getting paid shouldn't be harder than doing the work. Our mission is simple: make invoicing, payments and accounts receivable effortless — so businesses can focus on what they're actually good at.

Where we're headed
WaPay is launching in Ireland first, then expanding to the UK, Australia, New Zealand and beyond. Our mission is simple: every small business in the world should be able to get paid in 30 seconds, from anywhere, with nothing more than a phone.
