No payment, no fee · €10 max per transaction

Pay as you earn.

No subscriptions. No setup fees. 1% per payment, capped at €10. WaPay only earns when your invoice clears.

How the fee breaks down

Two fees per successful payment, both deducted automatically from the gross amount. Your customer pays the total on the invoice — what lands in your bank is everything minus the fees.

Stripe processing
1.5%+ €0.25

Pricing FAQ

The honest answers we'd want if we were buying this.

When do I pay the fee?
Only when a customer actually pays an invoice. The fees come out of the gross payment automatically — there's nothing to invoice, nothing to chase. If a payment never clears, you pay nothing.
Is the 1% fee capped?
Yes — the WaPay platform fee is 1% per transaction, capped at €10 per payment. A €10,000 invoice still only costs you €10 in WaPay fees. The 1% applies up to a €1,000 invoice; everything above that is flat.

Stripe's processing fee (1.5% + €0.25) is set by Stripe and scales linearly without a cap. On a €10,000 invoice you'd pay €150.25 in Stripe fees + €10 in WaPay fees — €160.25 total.
Are there any setup or monthly fees?
No. Sign-up is free, the dashboard is free, the WhatsApp messages are free, the VAT exports are free. Our only fee is 1% of payments that actually clear.
What about refunds or chargebacks?
If you refund a customer, Stripe returns its processing fee (you get the original 1.5% + €0.25 back). The WaPay 1% is also refunded on full refunds. Chargebacks (a customer disputing a payment via their bank) are handled by Stripe — the standard chargeback fee is around €15 if you lose the dispute. We don't add anything on top.
What currencies are supported?
EUR, GBP, USD, AUD, CAD on launch. Stripe handles the conversion to your bank's home currency at their standard FX rate (~1% above mid-market). The currency on the invoice is set per-customer — so an Irish business with a UK customer can bill in GBP.
When do I get the money?
T+2 to T+7 depending on your bank — that's Stripe's standard payout schedule for new accounts. After your first month it usually settles at T+2 for Irish banks. You'll see "Payout pending" in your dashboard the moment the customer pays.
What if my customer disputes a payment?
Stripe handles disputes via the card network. You'll get an email and a dashboard notification. We strongly recommend attaching work photos to the invoice (the photo feature) — it's the single biggest factor in winning a dispute.
Do I need a separate Stripe account?
No. We onboard you directly to Stripe Connect during sign-up — it takes about 5 minutes. You'll get your own Stripe dashboard if you want it; most businesses never need to look at it because everything important is in your WaPay dashboard.
Can I get my data out if I leave?
Yes. Export invoices, payments, customers, and VAT reports as CSV at any time from the dashboard. We don't lock data in. We also delete it on request — covered in the Privacy Policy.
What if a customer doesn't have WhatsApp?
Less common than you'd think — WhatsApp's at 90%+ adoption in Ireland and the UK. But yes, you can also share the payment link via SMS, email, or just paste it anywhere. The link itself is a standard URL.
Is the early-adopter offer still on?
Yes — the first 50 businesses to sign up pay zero WaPay platform fee, locked in for life. You'd still pay the Stripe processing fee. Spots remaining are shown on the homepage.
